Valerie chose the profession of physical therapy because she enjoys helping patients get back to doing what they love most by treating her patients holistically, rather than a single body part. She has a passion for working with patients with Cerebral Palsy and balance challenges. Valerie also specializes in aquatic therapy and pediatric orthopedics and has additional training in utilizing hippotherapy as a treatment. She would like to further her education in ergonomics and human factors and would like to obtain a board certification as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist. In 2019 Valerie attended the World Confederation of Physical Therapy conference in Switzerland and was able to meet PT’s from all over the world and learn about how physical therapy is practiced in other countries. Valerie’s experience in dance allows her to better treat patients with ankle and balance issues. When Valerie relaxes, she enjoys hiking, dancing, painting, playing the piano, creative writing, photography, film editing, watching K-dramas, and having philosophical discussions.
